INTRODUCTION OF MGA

MGA is an association which able to represent the gold, silver and platinum (precious metal) industry in Malaysia, from upstream to downstream activities including mining, refining, minting, trading, jewellery smiths, pawn-broking, assaying, logistics, finance and research institutes.

OVERVIEW AND WHAT WE DO

1. Participate (conduct survey, provide industry information) in the sector development plan for major policy implementation & etc.
2. Participation in statistics, market analysis, publishing industry information.
3. Carry out international cooperation and communication thru this central point.
4. To involve in the activities such as:

a) Application and promotion for science and technology in gold industry
b) Promoting local gold products
c) Cultivating national brand
d) Expanding the realm of gold application
e) Increasing the consumption of gold
f) Organizing forums, exhibitions & fairs.

VISION AND MISSION

I. Adhere to the government principles and policies, provide expertise advises to the government and as a role of bridging between government agencies and its members;
II. To establish a self-regulatory mechanism and improve coordination in precious metal industry;
III. To carry out international cooperation and exchanges in a timely manner to reflect the aspirations as well as to safeguard the legitimate interests of its members for promoting Malaysian precious metal industry in stable and healthy development.
