Officially premiered during the Grand Opening of the Malaysia Gold & Jewellery Trade Exhibition on 9 May 2025, this film captures the essence of a heritage forged in gold, artistry, and innovation.

Malaysia was among the Top 5 global exporters of gold jewellery during the 1990s and early 2000s, with annual exports exceeding 50 metric tonnes. In recent years, Malaysia's gold jewellery industry remains significant ranking Top 5 among ASEAN. This documentary explores Malaysia’s evolution as a leading hub for premium gold jewellery fabrication—renowned for its exceptional use of 916 (22k) and 999 (24k) gold, meticulous craftsmanship, and the seamless fusion of tradition and modernity. Through rich visuals and compelling narratives, the film takes viewers on a journey through the artistry, heritage, and innovation that define Malaysian gold jewellery.

Highlighting traditional motifs inspired by Malay, Chinese, and Indian cultural legacies, alongside contemporary designs and cutting-edge production techniques, Golden Legacy showcases how Malaysia’s gold jewellery sector continues to thrive on the global stage.
