Joining the MGA

Membership shall be opened to all qualifying organizations and associations which related to Precious Metal industry, which may include mining, refining, minting, trading, jewellery smiths, pawn-broking, assaying, logistics, finance and research institutes. There is no limit on the number of members.

Who Can Apply

Local Associate Corporate Membership
Open to qualifying organizations or associations that have:
  • Conducted business or trade in Malaysia for at least three (3) years, or
  • A parent company that has conducted business or trade in Malaysia for at least three (3) years.

Foreign Associate Corporate Membership
Open to foreign organizations or associations involved in business activities directly or indirectly related to the precious metals industry, provided that their activities have a positive impact on Malaysia's precious metals industry, as assessed by the Management Committee.
How to Apply
Membership Application Process

Proposed & Seconded

Applications must be proposed and seconded by two existing members.

Submit to Secretary

Applications shall be submitted to the Secretary, who will present them to the Management Committee for approval.

Management Committee Review

The Management Committee reserves the right to reject applications without providing reasons.

Due Diligence

Due diligence checks may be conducted, either directly by the Association or through third parties, upon receipt of a completed application form.
